Cílem tohoto modulu je vysvětlit základní pojmy z oboru počítačových sítí a principy jejich fungování s důrazem na nejrozšířenější přenosové technologie, zejména Ethernet včetně jeho moderních variant.
Kurs je koncipován tak, aby vyžadoval relativně málo vstupní znalostí v oblasti informatiky.
